Life, some more

Do you sometimes have that feeling of time running out?  Do you sometimes will yourself to not get stressed despite the fact that people around you seem to be doing the things they do everyday, and each day comes and goes with all the usual things happening, and the world is going round and round, as usual, and that on any given day, if you took a snapshot of that day, it would look like the snapshot of any other day, and so the "stills" indicate that everything is going on as BAU....but....these very things mean that time is the one thing that is not standing still.  And time is moving so quickly, that often times, you pause from all the million things you are doing and yet have to get done, and you realize, that a huge amount of time has actually gone by...and in that micro-second of luxury that you have allowed yourself to actually pause and reflect, you look back at the time that has gone by, and you count and you recount all the things that you did and that happened, and you wonder at some of them, and you despair at some of them....you laugh at some of them, and you cry thinking of some of them, and you marvel at all that has gone by, and you marvel still, at the things that should have happened, and the things that could have happened, and the things that you should have made happen, but you didn't...because, well, you just didn't.....and that's when you start having a sense of anxiety about whether you will ever make those things happen.  Because time is running out...and you are so far behind on the things that need to happen now, and tomorrow, and the day after....that you know only too well, that it will be a whole while before you can actually get to that thing that you want to make happen...so....even though you know time is not on your side, you resolve to plough on....because, really, that is all you can do for now.  Because, somewhere, in the deep recesses of your heart, you know that if something were really, really meant to happen, it will.
