Nothing more appealing than just a guitar and a great voice.  Acoustic is the true talent.  Great rendition, this one.  Rob Thomas is good, but do check out the guitar segments.  So, so neat.  And oh yes, the back-up singer is really, really good.  This is why acoustic is so appealing.  It showcases all aspects of the performance and gives credit to real talent.  By the same argument, every flaw is easier to see, and the basics (like your voice) have to be really strong in order to appeal.
