Never thought I would sign up for this. But here I am. Bravely entering the realm of long distance running. In spite of the naysayers. In spite of the doubters (biggest one of them all being yours truly). In any case, here's to trying, and hoping to not give up. There is, I am finding, a certain zen-ness if you will, in the whole affair. And it is as much of a mental commitment as it is a physical one. And therein lies its very power.
