Hoping for a break
The tiredness is calling

Hoping for some good news
The bad news was wrenching

Hoping for some laughter
The mind it is drowning

Hoping for a tear
The sadness is looming

Hoping for light through the darkness
Feeling low, low, low

Life is full of ups and downs.  We all know that.  Mine is no different.  Just going through a rough day, I guess.  I know tomorrow will be different.  The sun will rise.  The birds will sing.  And my sweet love will call my name with all the innocence and intent of the pure of heart.  And then I know that joy will course through my veins again. :-)
